Yup… again, it’s been a min. Well I want ta’ hit’cha back with the latest. I have had the pleasure of starting a bus'ness with a good friend of mine who is uber-ly talented!! The above image is the showcase of our ‘latest’ venture. For the last 2 to 3 months we have been knee deep in making a game (specifically the demo) and getting it ready for show. If ya’ wanna’ know more, head on over to www.killjoyinteractive.com. Currently the level design is under construction so not much drawing is getting done but I’ll keep you uhh… posted – I hope, I mean I’ll try.

Cheers people!

What'cha say now!

Hurry, hurry, read all about it! I just wanted to post something that blew me away! As some of you know, I have just recently joined the UVGA (Urban Video Game Academy) which teaches the Introduction to Gaming and Development to students between the ages of 10 and 17. We have recently just finished our first class at Clayton State University and I had the pleasure of meeting a talented student that possesses a keen mind and is definitely going places!

Here is an illustration of “Dexter”. For those of you who don’t know… Dexter is a 3d character I designed that is located on the portfolio side of this blog. During the course of our first class, this gentleman approached me with his rendition of Dex and it floored me! He has a great grasp on likeness at so young an age that he is going to blaze trails in the years to come. You go boy!

UVGA has just started a new blog @ http://www.atlantauvga.blogspot.com/ and I welcome you to visit us if you are interested in learning the process of gaming. We have a great time and will be starting Saturday workshops that will offer a hands-on experience teaching the intricate details of this exiting new medium. Enjoy and thanks for reading.

Demo Reel... Coming Soon!

Man... it has been an interesting few last months, let me tell ya. But I won't... you'd be bored to tears. Anyway, I have been working feverishly on my demo reel and it is almost here. Working on animation cycles for cloth testing and putting the cinematics together so I should be posting it soon... stay tuned. King Darius, I got you buddy. Skywalker pic? Also coming soon. Stick in there with me! For those of you just coming on, this is Dexter. He started off as an illustration and now? He is fully rigged, tex'd, and cloth to follow. I am exited! Again, please leave your thoughts, comments, bank account numbers, etc. See ya.

Be like Krüger... or try.

Hey all. I know, I know... it's been a moment. Needed to catch up on some things and unfortunately this was neglected, but just a tad. Here's a new one for ya. I have been mesmorized by Sebastian Kruger as of late and wanted to take a crack at it. Lemme' know what'cha think.

Cheers.

Whatta'ya know... I'm back and didn't wait too long this time. Okay people (for those stopping by now and in the future). Here's the start of what I promised in the last posting. What you're looking at is an illustration of a comic short I am starting. Soon to follow will be the 3d versions of these characters (and pages... hopefully).

I have one of the coolest guys in the industry making my Title for the book and I am just stoked at the prelim' he's showed me already! John and I go back some time when we were working on a video game together. Visit him @ http://johnnykaotic.blogspot.com/ and you will get an eyefull of gamer-ology!! Very cool site!

I have another mult-talented gentleman (well I don't know if he's a gentleman - kidding KB) working on the color so this thing is about to take off. Cross those fingers people!

Well that's it for now so here's to a better future and a great new career (don't wanna' really give an explanation on that whole 'new career' bit so just go along with it and pretend you know what I'm talkin' about) ...

Hit me.

Hello again... I know, it's been a while. I wanted to post something of recent. This is a poster illustration of what is to be a children's book and that's pretty much all I can say for now.
Now going back to the title "Art Things Considered", I would like to start covering things diverse. From things like 3d concepts all the way to animation even talking about script writing. I just dig that stuff! So if any you have anything you can bring to the table, by all means... lemme' hear it.
In the near future you will be seeing my character concepts and the process of turning those concepts into 3d models (...and yesssss, that includes rigging). Catch ya' on the flip.

"Po"!

Here's my take on one of my favorite animated movies! I never get tired of looking at it. I've read up on it; how it was made, the people that animated the characters, you name it! This movie was put together very well (instant classic).

This is my homage to it and I will have some more characters of other favorites in the future.

Cheers to all.
